How do I use the Pando directory?
The Pando directory is one of our favourite features as it connects each hospital and the wider NHS workforce. This is exciting because this level of connectivity has not existed before in the healthcare professional community.
If you want to contact a health professional and you don’t have their personal mobile number or a bleep number, you will spend long periods of time on phone to switchboard trying to find out who to speak to. This can be frustrating and time wasting.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could find who you wanted when you needed them? That’s why you can search the Pando ‘My Hospital’ directory by name or specialty.
How do I find who I am looking for on Pando?
From the app home page,
- Type in the name or speciality in the search bar at the top of the page or click the green+ button next to “direct messages”
- Select the person you want
- Send a message
Clearly, the directory becomes even more valuable as more professionals download the app. Therefore you can invite your colleagues if you cannot find them on the directory by clicking the ‘Send Invitation’ button. You can read more about this here.

Using my availability toggle
When you click the toggle in the top right corner, you can change your availability Available or Unavailable. This affects the colour of your icon in the directory so that people can find the right person for their query faster.
